About

In September 2011, I followed my husband from Cambridge, MA to Cambridge, UK, because he got a sweet gig with Microsoft.  The day before I left, my father said, “this is good – its an adventure.  but be sure you bring snacks.”

Since then I had three kids and realised the goofy lifestyle blog I started to help myself adjust to expat life worked equally well for my thoughts on parenting. Snacks and adventure. And poop. That’s most of what parenting is, to me.

  5. Okay, I’m with Georgia. Your dad should be getting kickbacks for your use of his comment, because now we *have* to have a look around here! Anybody with a dad that smart (and who’s smart enough to recognize his special genius) has *got* to have a fun blog. So here goes! Sign me up. 🙂 Glad you stopped by my place for a peek.
    Cheers!

  6. Thanks for popping on to my blog…Nice to have you there….
You need to investigate the Eccles cake…No-one is truly a baker until they have mastered the Eccles cake…
Let me know how you get on.

    • I’ve only eaten an Eccles cake once (part of my English initiation process)…I have to say, while I’m happy to eat them when they’re given to me, I don’t think I’d bake them if it was an Eccles cake against a chocolate pie.

But I take your point. They can’t be easy to make.

  7. I love it! Snacks…great pictures
